My A5 mandolins feature hand carved front and back plates with traditional tone bar construction.

The A5 is perhaps my most vesatile model.
Exceptional clarity of tone and dynamic range make it
suitable for virtually all styles from jazz and classical to bluegrass and folk.

I tap-tune the top and back plates, along with the air chamber to achieve a balance between warmth of tone in the low register and responsiveness and cutting power right up to
the highest frets on the E string.

Ebony fingerboard with 12" radius (flat fingerboard optional).
The fingerboard is scalloped above the 22nd fret, to improve
playability whilst retaining a traditional style extension.
Adjustable truss rod.
Adjustable Ebony bridge .

Cream coloured binding to front, back , fingerboard and
peghead.
Satin lacquer finish - applied in a thin coating provides good
protection while still allowing the wood to resonate.

The f-style has an exceptionally clear and distinct tone with a woody quality in the lower register, a broad dynamic range and excellent projection.

Ebony fingerboard with 12" radius (flat fingerboard optional).
