My A5 mandolins feature hand carved front and back plates with traditional tone bar construction.

The A5 is perhaps my most versatile model.
Exceptional clarity of tone and dynamic range make it suitable for virtually all styles from jazz and classical to bluegrass and folk.

I tune the top and back plates to achieve a warm and woody tone in the low register , power in the mid-range and responsiveness and cutting power right up to the highest frets on the E string.
