f-hole mandolins : F-Style

European or Adirondack spruce, carved top
Flame-maple, carved back

The f-style has an exceptionally clear and distinct tone with a 'woody' quality in the lower register.
It has a broad dynamic range and excellent projection.

I select the finest grades of European and Adirondack spruce for the top, which I hand carve and graduate.
The hand-carved and tuned back is of figured European maple.

22 fret Ebony fingerboard
mother of pearl position markers (5,7,10,12,15 and 17th frets)
black postion markers on fingerboard edge.

Adjustable ebony bridge.
Cream coloured binding to front edge and fingerboard.

Dark sunburst gloss lacquer finish: I use a combination of hand-rubbed stain and sprayed-on tinted lacquer for a subtle 'vintage' shading.

To secure your order, a 20% deposit is required, with the full balance to be paid 10 days before the instrument is despatched. Payment can be made by cheque, money transfer through bank account or by International Money Order (IMO) in pounds Sterling.	Delivery is £20 (including insurance) to UK mainland customers. For Delivery outside the UK, please send me an email for a quote.
